How I Got My BTS Concert Ticket For Permission To Dance On Stage in LA mikhail, February 27, 2022May 7, 2024 How to (HOPEFULLY) Get a Ticket for BTS Permission To Dance On Stage: Vegas Concert Hey everyone! (more specifically HEY ARMY!) This is my first blog post, and I thought the best first post would be tips for snagging BTS concert tickets this next show! I have been a BTS fan since late 2017. The Permission To Dance on Stage LA show was one of the first BTS shows I had the opportunity of attending. All their other shows from past tours (Speak Yourself at Rose Bowl) were always when I was still at university during reading and final’s week. I knew BTS would come through and I would have a chance to see them, and I hope you all have the opportunity to see them too! I purchased the BTS ARMY FANCLUB membership (without the fankit) on Weverse for $22 to guarantee being in the ARMY FANCLUB presale for PTD LA. Since it has been stated that 100% of BTS tickets will be sold during the presale, these tips will focus on presale. If there are any tickets left for general sale, please use these tips during general sale too to ease your stress! Since I was able to successfully get a ticket for PTD LA, I wanted to share my tips. 1. Figure out which shows you are gonna attempt to get a ticket or tickets for. This is the most important first step. Are you thinking of going to every show? The first show? The final show? This is crucial to consider. I only wanted to attend the second show (November 28th), since I was going to also watch the stream for the last show. The PTD Vegas shows are Friday April 8th, Saturday April 9th, Friday April 15th and Saturday April 16th. For ARMY wanting to buy tickets for more than one show, it is recommended to not use more than device at the same time. If Ticketmaster flags that you are trying to buy tickets on multiple devices, browsers or devices logged into the same Ticketmaster account, your cart will be released and you will lose the tickets. You can use your same access code for the four different shows, but you cannot do it at the same time. Another point to remember is the ticket limit for PTD Vegas. All PTD shows have a 4 ticket limit on Ticketmaster. You cannot have more than 4 tickets connected to your account in total for all the shows. 2. Understand your budget and the venue seat map. This is the second most important step. My budget for my PTD LA ticket was $200 which I got as a gift from my wonderful aunt who knew how much I liked BTS and wanted to see them. I hoped all the tickets weren’t $175+ with fees, where I would have to cover the rest from out-of-pocket. Thankfully, from the Map of The Soul VIP presales I was able to see tweets like these – listing out the prices. After looking at the prices and the seat map, I knew before my presale, which seats were within my budget – any seats in Section 200 and above. Next up, consider the view you want. Do you like looking straight ahead? Do you like being on the sidelines looking at the stage at an angle? Whichever you like, make sure you’re familiar with the venue map so you are not overwhelmed when ticket sales start. I love the mega-screens, so I knew I wanted a seat where I could look straight ahead, so I took that into consideration. 3. Log on to Ticketmaster early and update your payment methods before joining waiting room. I didn’t even remember the last concert ticket I bought on Ticketmaster before this BTS concert. My account had older payment methods that I didn’t use anymore. It is important to link your new cards, and addresses and any other information you might mistype while being shaky-handed from the BTS nerves. This allows you to click on through the payment process, and trust that all your information is correct which means the BTS tickets are one step closer to being in your hands. When BTS tickets go on sale through Ticketmaster, the sale starts at 3pm PST but a waiting room opens up an hour before hand. The waiting room does not guarantee a faster chance at getting tickets. There were ARMY who joined the waiting room at 2pm and didn’t get a ticket until more than an hour after sale time, while another ARMY joined at 2:59pm and got a ticket within 20 minutes. I recommend joining early, and getting comfortable in your spot while you wait. I sat at my living room desk with a coloring book and my laptop open to Ticketmaster, casually looking at the #PTDCONCERT tag on Twitter for any updates from other ARMYs. 4. Don’t be discouraged by wait time and the little walking icon. I stand by this tip and will shout it from the rooftops to all the ARMYs buying tickets. Do not be discouraged at wait time. I joined the waiting room early, and did not reach number 1 in the queue until about 3:55pm. Do not let that dreaded “2000+ people ahead of you” stress you out. I was stressed but I knew that if I was meant to see BTS, I would get a ticket easily, and continued to wait. 5. Don’t worry if you get bumped out. I got bumped out of the line multiple times and it reloaded back to my place in line within two minutes. I think many new buyers have a misconception that they’ll be bumped out of line and have to re-wait the entire time they already waited, but that is not true. If you get bumped out, it may automatically reload for you. If it doesn’t reload within a few seconds, click the reload button yourself and it will take you back to the front of the line or the seat selection page if that is where you were. 6. Keep selecting tickets until one (or three) make their way through to payment. This is another tip I will shout from the rooftops for other ARMYs! It was literally a game of ticket-whack-a-mole for me. Every single ticket I selected said “Oops, another buyer beat you to that ticket, please select a different one.” It made me annoyed because if another buyer beat me to it, take it off my screen, Ticketmaster! I continued to select tickets in the entire 200 and 300 sections for over half an hour, teary eyed that maybe I wasn’t meant to see BTS yet until my one (1) ticket from Section 335 for $135 decided to stick by me. I purchased my ticket at almost 4:30pm. Ticket sales started at 3pm and I didn’t get my ticket for nearly an hour and a half later. I did cry afterwards from the stress, but in the end, it was the best concert I had ever been to. Along with these tips, I wish you lots of luck with tickets! Remain calm, don’t let wait time stress you, click around the venue and pick your spot!
